Sema Akbunar, Psych

Sema Akbunar, Psych., is a licensed psychological psychotherapist and supervisor based in Berlin, Germany. She is the founder of Interkulturelle Psychologische Praxis (IKPD), where she provides integrative psychotherapy for adults, couples, and groups, combining behavioral therapy and schema therapy according to Grawe. 

Fluent in Turkish, English, Dutch, and German, Sema offers multilingual psychotherapy with a strong intercultural and anti-discrimination focus. Her clinical work centers on issues of grief and loss, identity, racism, and cultural or religious challenges. As a person of color, she brings both professional and lived experience to her work on systemic discrimination and intersectionality in psychotherapy. 

In addition to her clinical practice, Sema provides individual and group supervision, coaches professionals in personal and career development, and lectures on intercultural and racism-aware psychotherapy across Europe.
